(PHOENIX, Mar. 20, 2025) – Educare Arizona is proud to announce it has received a two-year, $25,000 grant from Thunderbirds Charities to support its Extended Day program, which ensures children receive high quality early education from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. year-round.
This funding will help maximize learning opportunities, kindergarten readiness, and social-emotional development for young children while also providing critical support for working families. With many parents balancing demanding work schedules, this program offers peace of mind—knowing their child is in a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment throughout the day.
“For years, Educare Arizona has provided a nationally recognized, evidence-based early learning program that helps children build the skills they need for lifelong success,” said Karen Ramos, Board President of Educare Arizona. “We are incredibly grateful to Thunderbirds Charities for their generous support in expanding access to extended learning opportunities for the families we serve.”
Investing in early childhood education has long-term benefits, from stronger academic performance to better career opportunities later in life. Research consistently shows that early learning programs like Educare’s Extended Day help children develop the critical skills needed for school and beyond.
