PHOENIX, (May 30, 2025) – Thunderbirds Charities, the charitable giving arm of the Thunderbirds, hosts of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, recently donated $100,000 to Stardust, a Phoenix-based reuse organization, in support of its Gifts In Kind program. Gifts In Kind annually distributes $50 million in household items, toiletries, office supplies, and building materials to more than 400 Maricopa County nonprofit organizations at no cost to the agency. Materials received through Gifts In Kind provides much needed material resources in our community.

“This generous grant from Thunderbirds Charities ensures that the Gifts In Kind program can continue to serve nonprofit organizations with the goods they need benefitting low-income children and families across the valley,” says Karen Jayne, Stardust CEO. “We consider Thunderbirds Charities a key partner in helping us achieve our mission to extend the life of quality materials enriching our community and protecting our planet. We are grateful for their support.”
