Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun is honored to be a recipient of a $40,000 grant award from our community partner Thunderbirds Charities. This partnership continues to provide critical resources that help support Phoenix area low-income veterans, seniors, and disabled individuals.Kelly Watson, executive director of the Mesa-based non-profit shared. “During the pandemic in 2021, Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun continued our efforts, yet at a reduced capacity. We are focused on resuming our Safe at Home Program to pre-pandemic outreach for 2022 and this partnership will ensure that success.” Our goal in this new normal is to utilize approximately 700 volunteers who contribute close to 6,000 volunteer hours, and service over 100 residents creating safe and healthy homes. The Thunderbirds Charities’ continued generosity means even more now to us and the community.”
