For 10 years, Almost Famous Theatre Company members have performed their way across the valley’s stages creating deep personal bonds with their fellow actors while entertaining their audiences. At the heart of this company is the youth program where talent and passion is developed and nurtured in a supportive learning environment.
A generous grant of $5,000 from Thunderbirds Charities allows the transformative experiences and opportunities offered by the Almost Famous Theatre Company youth program to reach more children eager to hone their craft and be a part of a collaborative whole.
Thunderbirds Charities support will have an immediate impact as the youth program kicks off the new year with a horde of spunky, revolting children in the musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved Matilda. What better place for young aspiring actors to build their confidence than by portraying empowered, courageous children in a live theatre environment!
The caliber of Almost Famous Theatre Company’s productions have continued to rise to AriZoni award-winning levels. With this grant, the potential for growth is endless as these children have increasing opportunities to express themselves, connect with their audiences and each other, and make memorable pieces of impactful art that bring joy to the community.
