Thunderbirds Fund Resilience-Building Arts Programs for Abused Children

Thunderbirds Charities generously supported Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona with $25,000 to provide 7 resilience-building arts-plus-mentorship programs for abused and neglected children and for foster families. Free Arts programs help youth and families build the resilience they need to overcome their trauma by connecting them with stable, caring adult mentors and by providing creative outlets that build their sense of self, self-efficacy, develop executive function, and self-regulation skills. All programs are free and are exclusively for children living in foster care group homes, treatment facilities, homeless and domestic violence shelters, and living with foster families.
