Thunderbirds Charities has awarded a generous grant of $25,000 to support the “Equipping Futures: Mobile Computer Labs for Youth Empowerment” project. This funding will allow the organization to enhance its programs by providing mobile computer labs, ensuring that youth across all seven club locations have access to critical technology and digital learning resources.
The “Equipping Futures” project is designed to empower youth through technology-based learning, academic support, and workforce readiness skills. By outfitting mobile computer carts, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor will bridge the digital divide for hundreds of children and teens in Pinal County, including clubs in Casa Grande, Arizona City, and Maricopa.
“We are deeply grateful to Thunderbirds Charities for their invaluable support,” said Matt Lemberg, Executive Director of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor. “This funding allows us to create equitable opportunities for our youth, providing them with the tools they need to succeed academically and prepare for bright futures in a technology-driven world.”
