Gabriel’s Angels Founder and CEO, Pam Gaber explains “we are extremely grateful for the support of the Thunderbirds Charities, especially during these unprecedented times. This generous funding has been utilized to keep our 180 statewide Pet Therapy Teams engaged by providing them the tools to facilitate virtual visits and continue an ongoing, meaningful relationship with the 123 Arizona agencies such Title 1 schools and crisis nurseries that we serve.
Although we are all adjusting to our ‘new normal’, our experience shows that post crisis events such as 9/11, the Great Recession, and now the COVID-19 Pandemic, that weathering the storm is of the utmost importance to be available to the many children that will unfortunately need the support of Gabriel’s Angels in the wake of these traumatic events. When our partner agencies throughout Phoenix, Tucson, and Prescott are ready to reopen, you can guarantee that Gabriel’s Angels Pet Therapy Teams will be there to meet the increased demand and continue to inspire confidence, compassion and best behaviors in Arizona’s at-risk youth through pet therapy.”
