Thunderbirds Charities has awarded $20,000 to Assistance League of East Valley for its signature program, Operation School Bell. Through Operation School Bell, Assistance League of East Valley provides new school clothes, shoes and hygiene kits to needy elementary school children in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe and Kyrene School Districts. In the 2018-19 school year, the organization provided a record 10,436 children with new clothing, uniforms, shoes and hygiene kits. The children are recommended by school resource officers.
“Assistance League of East Valley has made positive life changing impacts on children through Operation School Bell and we are delighted to support such a great mission,” said Chance Cozby, president of Thunderbirds Charities.
