Arizona Museum of Natural History Receives $10,000 from Thunderbirds Charities

Arizona Museum of Natural History (AzMNH) is thrilled to announce the award of $10,000 from Thunderbirds Charities for inclusion modifications their Exploration Station. The Exploration Station is a hands-on space for the Museum’s youngest visitors and their caregivers. The room is designed to encourage play, inquiry, creativity and family interactions to better support learning for children 6 and under.

Every learner is unique and AzMNH recognizes that many children visit the Museum with different abilities, learning styles, subject knowledge, interests, cultural values, etc. The funding provided by Thunderbirds Charities will support modifications in a multimedia format in order to increase accessibility for underserved populations, such as vision impaired, auditory impaired, and low English language proficiency readers.

Thunderbirds Charities is proud to support the Museum and its efforts to serve a wider demographic, as it continues to provide innovative experiences to every visitor.
