Every two minutes another child is diagnosed with cancer and their loved ones’ lives are changed forever. Families are overwhelmed by decisions regarding the care and well-being of their child, often spanning months and years. Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels offers support for the whole family through each step of their journey.
Thunderbirds Charities has awarded Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels a $25,000 grant to support the Comfort and Care Counseling Program. The program offers free counseling to families in Maricopa county that have a child that has, or is currently battling, childhood cancer or other life-threatening diseases. The team of licensed counselors and therapists serves patients, siblings, parents and caregivers through family counseling, individual counseling, play therapy and support groups.
“We’re proud to support Amanda Hope,” said president of Thunderbirds Charities, Chance Cozby. “Through their work, the cancer patient and their family members find comfort.”
